John and Julie Nuzzo were nice enough to lend me and Jay some cool in-period costumes to participate in the Battle of Monmouth reenactment this year! Julie ("Jules") and John were looking rather dapper with their muskets ready, all lined up in Heards Brigade (NJ militia). Little did me and Jay know that our role in this whole battle were to be the dreaded idle villagers.. the bane of anyone who's every played Age of Empires. I'd have wiped my laptop out to play a game in the middle of camp but nothing 'out of period' was even allowed on the premesis!
ta-da! Idle villager at a war reenactment. what.. that's in period no? This villager is still chilling at the spawning point. Quick! Give him a task!
Yep that's us. The pink team. That's what happens when you're the last to join the LAN game. |

This past weekend we got the chance to perform during a Creole social event in Newark, NJ. The grand ballroom at the Robert Treat Hotel was beautiful and spacious! Which would sort of explain the UFOs hovering on the ceiling. (it really did look like the mothership had landed)

Me and my lovely posse. I'm the one doing the Lady of Guadeloupe impression.
..see what I mean about the ceiling?~!
That's me doing tricky moves on the ground.. ^_^ |

This past weekend I got to perform bellydance in a live theater for the first time! Ashtar's (Julie Nuzzo) choreography really shined in "Marco Polo", "Ketri Ketri", and "The Journey". Here are some pictures of me and my troupe-mates from The Daughters of Sophia tribal dance troupe.
Here's where we performed... Chelsea and Marissa ^_^ Thanks for looking-- |

Murdering lawyers book promo |

|
Last weekend, it was off to NYC to film a book teaser for "Murdering Lawyers " by Lawrence Fine. This film shoot was a blast! (I got to play the part of a dead girl in a pool of blood) Unfortunately there weren't too many shots of me on my camera but I'm hoping to get some solid screenshots when the teaser goes live on their website, murderinglawyers.com. Brian Mclane of Mclanemedia was directing the show, it went smoothly considering we were shuttling from one location to the next. Here are a few pics from the day:
